Connecting your Amazon

WP Affiliate Links uses the Amazon Product Advertising API (PA API) to simplify the link creation process on your behalf. All your data belongs to you, is never shared with anyone else, and lives on your host. This helps us be compliant with the Associates Program Operating Agreement.

Features

Our Amazon integration enables the following features:

• Automatically convert any Amazon product link into your partner link. No need to find the correct link to copy or mess with short links.
• Generated links will enable deep links into Amazon. When a user on a mobile device clicks your link and they have the Amazon app, they will be launched into the app, rather than the browser (subject to their individual device security preferences).
• Automatically pull Amazon product images when creating new links from Amazon URLs. You can still choose to use any image from your media library, but you will also have access to all of the Amazon product images.

Configuration

1. To use this feature, you need to configure your Access Keys in the plugin settings page.

1. You can generate a set in your Amazon Associates account, if you don’t have one already.

Note: If you regenerate these for any reason in the future, you will need to also update your plugin settings to keep the Amazon integration functional.

1. Once you update the plugins settings, be sure to save at the bottom of the page.

Use

1. Once your Amazon credentials are configured, they will immediately be usable from the post editor or the Link Management page in the plugin settings.

2. Any Amazon link you use will be sanitized and branded with your partner id, regardless if it’s a short link, full link, or has other another tracking id on it.
